Back wall all built up!
And then the side wall was next!
Time for more steel bending. At least now, the vertical rebar is all in place and so the horizontal rebar is what Jim needs to do.
Then the start of the next course! This is the last full size course - the last row uses forms that are called optimizers - they are 12" high instead of 18" to make the wall the right size.
Always more steel to bend and put in the forms.
Continuing to build up this course...
....and going around the corner to the back wall.
The wall is really getting high now!
The side wall looks really big from the outside too - especially if you stand down on the footer!
Jim is fastening the alignment system to the foam he just put on. That is another time saver this time - the alignment system is already in place.
I had to finish vacuuming all of the loose cement out of the rest of the walls as well as scrape and vacuum between the garage door area. Then I cut off all the sprayed foam bubbles from the footers so that we will be able to put the waterproofing membrane down.
Wow - it's becoming quite the structure now!
