9.18.2014 - No More Nudura!

Drumroll, please....the Nudura is all done!  How amazing is that?

Of course, the end of one job just means the start of many others.  Jim started tackling the moving of all the alignment system bracing.  This means he has to take off all the planks (which were screwed in so that they were sturdy), and then lengthening the turnbuckle to be at a higher angle.  In a perfect world, he should just be able to leave the base with all of the stakes in the ground and just adjust the bracing.  But, alas, it's not a perfect world.  Probably 60% required him removing all the stakes (maybe the hardest part), adjusting the brackets, then pounding them back in.  Sounds fairly easy but it's definitely not - all that pounding takes its toll.

But even through a couple raindrops that appeared this afternoon, Jim made a lot of progress.  He has this side wall done and the front wall.  Then he started putting the steel in this final course.  He's also putting another form lock at the very top to help keep everything straight.

I was up on the planks looking down - it's a big space down there!
