'Twas the day before concrete...

...and Jim is fine-tuning everything in the footers in anticipation of our first concrete pour!  He went over everything to make sure all was as good as possible.  He filled in gravel in a few more places just to make sure.

Then the final step...oiling the forms so that the concrete doesn't stick and they are easier to remove.  The only oil Jim had was diesel oil so our forms are now black - very elegant!

Everything's ready to go!

Jim also did some grading around the meter pedestal and the trench - looks really good.

Here's the temporary power box all ready to be wired up.

Jim working on the wiring.  Jim is so good about keeping an reusing everything possible.  Unfortunately, one of the breakers he wired in was bad, so he was going to run to Lowe's after the day was done to pick up another one.  He would like to use an extension cord from the temporary box to the site for the concrete vibrator.

Then a little more grading around the temporary too!
