It was a busy day. Mom's MRI last week showed that the infection she's been fighting in her big toe went to the bone, so she had to have surgery today to remove that bone. Thankfully, it is the top part of the toe as opposed to underneath, so walking and balance shouldn't be affected once it heals. They sent her home with a walker and post-op shoe - she can't put any weight on the front of her foot. Jim was wonderful in helping her learn to use the walker better and get up the stairs!
