Hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day and took a few minutes to
reflect on all the freedoms we enjoy in this country!
Jim cleaned up the tile he installed previously...
Then he started doing some planning and layouts for the next section of tile - this is an especially tough area because of the angle of the ceiling...
Figuring out how to do all the edging in this corner was definitely a challenge too, but Jim came up with a good plan...
He has to use his tiny plastic trowel to get adhesive in these little areas...
He had to cut and install the tiny pieces around the receptacles...
All cleaned up and drying now...
After cleaning up from the tile work, Jim did some hand chiseling on the braces for the pavilion...
Using his mock-up piece to make sure it fits...
Eight of the ten braces are now done! The sawmill is cutting the last two in Jim's order.
Just for a change of pace, Jim did a little metal detecting at the end of the day. Good timing - it started to rain a bit right after he came in.
