Jim got all his tools and equipment ready at the pavilion before lunch so that he could start right afterwards. His sharpened bit worked well, so he continued boring the hole...
A check with the jig and it's done!
Putting up the jig again to mark the diagonal area...
Moving around to the front, Jim repositioned the front brace...
He put the jig in place for the front mortise...
Using the chisel for the outside lines. Jim is now working out of the bucket so he's at a more comfortable working height.
Until his jig shows it's perfect!
He moved the jig for the diagonal cuts and started scoring.
I came inside at this point but Jim was able to get this mortise all completed before putting all the tools and equipment away and coming in to get ready for church.
