6.19.2022

Another gorgeous day outside - Jim did a little sanding and work in the shop this morning before heading outside and getting the work site set up.  He set up the laser level and marked locations on the posts for the girders.  Then he brought out his sawhorses and saw and got two girders marked and cut...

He put a screw in to hold the girder in place...

Then he was able to put the post in place using the girder as a guide.  Of course, it still takes a lot of work to make sure the poles are in line, straight, plumb in all directions - here he's checking with the level...

Getting the other pole in place...

Once he was happy enough with the posts' position, he started filling in the dirt...

Filling in the dirt on the other post as well...

Jim set up the line he uses to make sure bricks are in line to make sure the posts were positioned correctly...

Fastening the girder after more adjustment...

Posts are now good, so time to cut the skirt on the bottom...

With a steel building, there hasn't been too much use of his nail gun but now's the time!

Continuing the skirt...

Great progress today!  It's looking like a wall now!

High 68.3/Low 45.7 - beautiful!
