Jim spent the day figuring out details for the air conditioning lines. This insulated copper tubing is very easy to get kinked, which would make it useless, so Jim has to be very careful in the way he rolls it out. And of course, it's very difficult to roll out. Plus, he has to figure out the general path that the lines will take from the bedrooms across to where they will go out the side of the house. Here Jim is showing my mom the end of the line so she could see what the tubing looks like. You can see how he has it draped through the trusses and the roll wound on a piece of conduit...
Jim cut some conduit to go between the floors - he has more pieces to glue on the side that will protect the lines...
Putting the conduit through the other side...
Jim moved the cars out of the auto bay so he could do some metal work - he's making some brackets that he will use to attach conduit hangars to the trusses. (Hmm...does this look say - you're bothering me while I'm working by taking my picture all the time? Ha!)
Marking fastening points...
First one attached to the bottom of the truss...
These conduit hangars will attach to the brackets to hold the tubing into place...
