Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Jim started drawing on my kitchen walls this morning, marking placement for ledger boards for the countertop as well as the spacer next to the dishwasher...
He temporarily tacked things into place to get a proper fit - then he took everything off to do some finish work, like set-in screw holes and a coat of polyurethane.
Our original kitchen design had the dishwasher next to the refrigerator. Jim had hardwired it into the wall and had a really nice system for the water. But then we changed plans. So Jim started undoing things...
Moving the dishwasher out...
Taking apart the hardwire box - he'll have to totally rewire this area because he wants both the wine cooler and the dishwasher on this same circuit.
Moving the cooler next to the refrigerator...
This will be the new layout - I love it!
A coat of gray on the back sides of the drawer fronts...
The dovetails take some careful hand painting...
A coat of polyurethane on the underside of the drawer bottom panels...
