Jim started cutting wood to frame the pilasters in the auto bay so that he can attach drywall...

Then a coat of gray on the cabinet door panel...

After lunch, we headed outside - a little heat couldn't stop us working in the dirt and rocks!  Jim had saved a couple of rocks to put by the front of the carriage house - we need to build the rocks out a little at the top because if it rains really hard, it misses the rocks and has eroded a little of the dirt.

Jim went and scooped up a bucketful of dirt from his new pile and brought it over to finish off the side of the auto bay...

Then it was time for rocks...

Placing rocks...

Putting the first rock into the trench!  It won't stay here but when we get big ones, they can just go right into the trench for now.

We had a few big rocks marking the ends of the leach fields to try and keep people off them - Jim is scooping those up to put in the trench as well.

Then a visit to the gravel pile - nice to have all this material handy!

I filled up 5 gallon pails and Jim filled in the areas between the rocks to keep weeds down...

 Looking good...

Then we went and got another bucketful of rocks and started placing them on top...

Still more to do but it's definitely looking good!

Jim dropped off a few big rocks...

Picking out a few big rocks from the pile for the trench as well...

After Jim got all the equipment and tools put away, he spent the rest of the work day doing some trimming.
