The dreaded time change is upon us! Jim and I are probably in the minority but we love the early sunsets and coziness of winter. Plus losing the hour of sleep always seems to mess you up for a couple days - and then there's changing the clocks! Jim never complains about that chore even when grandfather clocks and hard to access ones have to be changed!
Jim made the other maple edge for the final shelf and started the glueing process...
Glued and drying...
Next project was getting the panels painted with a first coat of gray. He does the panels separately before assembly so that if there is any movement in the wood throughout the seasons, there is no white primer showing through. Doing the hand sanding on the edges...
Then uses the palm sander on the tops...
Rolling on the gray...
All the panels have the first side done...
Doing some tweaking to the shelf sizes...
At the end of the day, Jim did some work on the 4Runner in advance of our road trip this week, putting air in the tires, checking fluids, vacuuming it.
