3.16.2020

Every day we seem to wake up to a whole different world.  We continue to keep everyone in our thoughts and prayers as we all navigate through this crisis.  Stay safe!

Jim is continuing to work on all the complicated millwork on the next shelf.  Now that Jim as the back piece all milled out for the shelves, time to transfer those markings to the side piece.

In order to make the dado cuts on this side panel, Jim had to make a shim to go between the panels so that the router would have a continuous level surface on which to work...

Starting to make the cut...

Cuts are made...

Brushing all the sawdust away to inspect.  This was very stressful - one false move and days of work could be ruined.

The router makes a round cut at the end - Jim had to hand chisel it square...

Trying it out with a couple of shelves - amazing!

You can see that the bottom shelf is farther out - it is like the face frame of the bottom.  The other shelves are inset so that the doors will work.

No resting on his laurels, time to transfer the markings to the other side and prepare to start the process all over again!
