Always prep work to be done - Jim got another row of brick ties on and got the electric box mounted for the outside light.

And there are always more bricks to cut!

But finally it's time to get started.

Another course on the front corner...

Then working on the back corner.  This has the added fun of working amongst all the scaffolding!

Who is that mortar-mustachioed man?

After lunch, it was time to do more brick ties to get ready for the next batch.

Mortar's ready...

Another course on the front...

Now it's really tight quarters but we made it up another step in the back!

Just as Jim finished jointing the side wall, it started sprinkling.  The forecast had called for showers possibly in the evening so we were a little surprised.  Thankfully, it was at a perfect time.  We scrambled to get everything covered.  It never did more than sprinkle for a few minutes.

Cleaning up...

No end-of-the-day pictures because of the quick cover up - the forecast was for some rain tomorrow so we'll see if we're able to do any brickwork.

Jim sold the wire mesh that he listed on Craigslist too and the guy planned to come around 5:30.  We had a few extra minutes so we moved a cabinet that Kyle made Jim years ago from the downstairs shop up to the woodworking shop.

Jim had brought the mesh down this morning so it would be ready - so all he had to do was pick it up with the forks and take it to the end of the driveway.

Once that transaction was done, Jim did some grass cutting before heading home.  Another great day!
