Next goes the fascia board backing...
The rest of the day was spent with Jim coming up with how he wanted to construct the overhang. He needs to have the section that intersects with the front roof done before he can do the shingles. This overhang will start in this corner and go along the front until after the man door to give a little protection from the weather while coming in/out of the door.

Starting on the front... Jim won't complete the whole front section right now - just enough to make sure everything works the way he wants.
Adding the support piece...
By the time we had to shut down to get ready for church, Jim had two rafters built on either side and the fascia backing started!
