1.13.2016

Jim spent most of the day working in the downstairs workshop.  It's so nice that even when it's really cold, he's able to get a lot accomplished.

Today he worked on installing the new fluorescent light fixtures.  This isn't an easy task - first he had to figure out where he wanted them.  He just bought a few of these fixtures to see how he would like them so he'll need to order more eventually.  But then - how do you install light fixtures to the underside of a metal and concrete deck?  Jim had to figure all that out.  He made special brackets out of some cold-formed steel he had ordered for this task.  He had to use the hammer drill to drill through the concrete - as you can see, he put the lights in the valley area so he didn't have to worry about hitting the Pex tubing.  He got this one totally installed and started on the next one.
