1.12.2016

Jim headed out to the site this morning and was met with crazy ice everywhere. - even worse than yesterday.  It's extremely treacherous to try and even walk.

But he worked in the downstairs shop and actually got the lawn mower running again!  That's great news - now he's able to move it from where it was sitting dead in the shop.  Plus it will be ready to go when he needs it again and he won't have to waste valuable warm days to get it working.

Plus, he finally found all the hardware and was able to put the frame of his steel table together.  The steel tops are still in the back of the box truck - he'll need the Bobcat to get them out (and probably someone with muscles to help him!).  But it's nice to see things come back alive in his shop.

Since it was so cold, Jim came home for lunch and then I went back out with him.  I got to see the new doors for myself - here's a front view!  They really look great and it's such a wonderful feeling to be in the shop and have it all closed in now.

We debated about starting work on preparing for the stairwell walls.  However, it was extremely blustery out - windy and snowing besides all the ice on the ground - so we decided to wait.  It was just a little too miserable.  Instead, we worked back down in the shop doing more organizing.  Since only Jim knows where things go, I spent my time trying to sort and put away our containers of mixed screws that we have filled up over the last few months.

We worked until it was dark and once we got home, we decided to go for a little walk in the snow.  Since we have been working non-stop at the property, our long walks of last winter were a distant memory.  So it was nice to have a little different form of exercise this evening.
