How the day went...
We started cutting the next piece of sheathing - we were able to use a 4' piece we already had and just cut the little corner off.
Getting it outside amongst all the scaffolding...
Setting it into place...
The outside view...
Figuring out the cuts for the last piece!
Cutting it to the right size...
Putting the strapping on...
Besides being the peak of the east wall, this is our last piece of sheathing so of course we had to sign it!
Last piece is in place! It's amazing how it looks and feels on the inside now - we are just so thrilled that it's pretty safe from the elements at this point.
Time for the house wrap - definitely not one of Jim's favorite things to do!
Taping the edges...
To be able to reach the end, Jim had to bring over the big extension ladder.
Finishing up the house wrap...
Now we can take down some of the scaffolding!
The east wall sheathing and house wrap are all finished!
Just a few more views since we're really celebrating today!
As an aside, the turkeys apparently had a celebratory party on the hill last night or this morning - there were just tons of tracks. Jim saw the turkeys fly out of the trees the other morning and said they were really big - you can tell by the size of the tracks!
