Happy Easter! And...Happy Birthday to Jim! Today had to start out playing the Beatles song...When I'm 64. Hard to believe - he certainly doesn't act his age (that was a compliment, really!).
Kyle came up late Friday night to celebrate with us - unfortunately, Julia couldn't make it this time. It's been nice having Kyle here though - they went to the land yesterday and worked on putting the final touches to the door installation. Using clamps and some brute force, they were able to straighten out the steel door to make it fit precisely. Jim and I had bought a lockset that we liked, but we aren't sure it's going to work. The commercial door has striker plates that are bigger than normal residence door sizes.

Wishing for a good building season, I presume? |
Kyle and Julia bought Jim some amazing chocolates from a store in NYC called Stick With Me Sweets. This picture doesn't do them justice - they are beautiful (hand polished and painted) and taste incredible. Thankfully, Jim wasn't selfish and managed to cut each truffle in 3 pieces so that we could all sample them. There was maple bourbon (tasted like a Heath bar), salted caramel, coconut, dark chocolate, New York, New York (like a smores), and hazelnut. It was hard to pick a favorite!
