It was extremely foggy this morning but it burned off and we finally had some sunshine to work in! Jim got everything ready to do some welding.
Unfortunately the beams were still wet, so he got the leaf blower out to dry them off before he welded.
Two more pieces welded into place.
There's always lots of prep work but Jim pretty much has things down to a science now - here he's grinding the beam before welding.
Getting things ready for the final two pieces in this section.
Wow - three sections are in place - it looks like such a big area!
Mid-afternoon, the man who had called and talked to Jim about wanting to use ICFs on his new home stopped by. It was a good conversation - he really liked the building and loved our lot. He showed us the blueprints for their new home and actually asked Jim if he would consider being project manager for it! Not like he doesn't have enough to do or anything. So while we enjoyed talking to him, he stayed almost 2 hours which really cut into our day.
After he left, Jim repositioned the Bobcat and started putting pieces that he had ready up on the deck for the last section.
It's a lot of work moving these pieces up. Even with our interruption, it was a good day. We got 6 pieces welded and 5 more pieces up on the deck and ready to go.
A beautiful sunset ended the day!
