10.2.2014

In addition to all the project management and then actual building Jim has to worry about, there's always other tasks on the agenda.  His older 4Runner is past due to be state inspected - and we pretty much know that there are things wrong with it and it may not pass.  It's not like Jim can work on it at this point.  But he spent part of the morning putting the seat back in after using it as a work truck and getting it cleaned up.  At lunch, I followed him to the place that inspected the truck, but for some reason there was no one around.  A wasted trip - we'll try again in the morning.

The clean-up efforts continue to happen at the site too - Jim built more racks to store all the planks and keep them organized and off the ground.  Moving all of them yet again was a ton of work!

Then he worked for awhile moving gravel into the building and filling up the footer areas.

Starting to look more like a floor and less like just ground!

Once again, we switched gears and started working on membrane.  I had to finish the bottom of the back side and then we got to work on the upper parts.  Unfortunately, we are now out of membrane.  Nudura is supposed to come soon to pick up the alignment systems and will bring us another roll so we just have to wait until then.  It's looking great though!

Even with just a little time left, Jim always has tasks to do.  Some of the steel channels that he used for shoring have dried cement all over them that has to be scraped off.  Definitely not one of the more glamorous jobs but will make using it again next time much easier.
