Happy Father's Day!  Jim and I miss our dads so much - but they are on this road with us in spirit.  We talk about them all the time and know they would love the property and support this crazy adventure of ours!

From Wednesday to Friday this week, we had our longest stretch of rainy days.  Jim negotiated a price for the bricks for the pedestal and was hoping to pick them up on Friday but the weather never really allowed for it.

This weekend has been perfect weather though.  All that rain and then some sunshine actually has made the grass seed that didn't get washed away really start to grow.  If you look carefully at this picture, you can see a light coating of green baby grass appearing.  Down by the driveway going down the hill, there's really no seed remaining but at least this section should see some grass.

On Saturday, Jim scoped out an area where he would like the septic system leach field to go.  He trimmed it down so you could see the grade easier and we measured to see where the lines would best fit.  Our septic designer is supposed to come to the land on Tuesday for the perc test and to discuss layout.

Jim is hoping to pick up the brick tomorrow so he can get started on bricking up the pedestal.

Should be an exciting week!
