6.1.2014

Yesterday I went up to the land with Jim to see the damage for myself from the thunderstorm.  It's so sad - all the beautifully graded areas are now rock fields.  It really takes the wind out of your sails.  Jim's not sure he wants to tackle it the same way in case that happens again - so we may just do smaller areas at a time.  It's psychologically hard to drive up and see it kind of destroyed now though!

Today, we actually went to our neighbors house for a cookout at lunchtime.  They are such nice people and we had a good time as well as some good food!  I'm sure it will be the first of many get togethers.

We had gone to Lowe's yesterday after church and picked up a few things Jim needed to do the roof on the shed.  Again, this is just temporary but we want to keep the water out.  So Jim bought rolled asphalt to put up.

First it was the drip edge...

and then cutting out the shingles to fit the roof.

Final touches - we should be all dry inside now.
