6.9.2023

Thrilled with the success of our first upholstery job on the benches, time to start on the back cushion.  Laying out the fabric...


Once we got it cut and serged on the sides, Jim marked up the plywood with all his placement lines and started attaching...

All done!


I made a fabric loop that Jim attached to the bottom of the cushion.  The cushion will fit so tightly into the back that there will be no way to remove it if necessary.  The loop will allow Jim to pull it out.


Time to put it in the frame...


Look how amazing it is!  It's so amazing how this is transforming the look and feel of this nook!


Jim took one of the dining room chairs down to the metal shop for storage.  Jim brings one of the chairs out to the living room for my mom to use while we eat dinner, so we are coming up with Plan B.  I have these folding chairs that we are going to try out - Jim is gluing one of the joints here...
