Jim did all the registration and sign-ins for my new computer today and started bringing it to life...
He worked in the shop before lunch and then in the afternoon, he gathered all his tools and equipment and headed down to see if we could get the package drop box moved from the sawhorses to its permanent spot on the new post. Starting to take the door off...
Removing the bottom piece...
We set foam pieces on the forks of the Bobcat and Jim brought it over to the box...
Once he got it close, Jim and I lifted it up onto the forks, and then he moved it over to the post...
Again, once it was close, Jim and I lifted it into place on the anchor bolts...
In place and Jim is tightening the nuts...
Making sure it's level...
Yay - it's back in place!
Putting the bottom back in...
Still as strong as before!
Now that it's on its new post, this is Jim's first chance to really evaluate the damage and what he will need to do to repair it. So he had to take some of the siding pieces apart...
Taking off damaged flashing...
Removing the damaged siding...
Once he had the flashing pieces he will need to duplicate and the bottom wood spar off that needs glued, he put it back together so that it's usable...
The sawhorses are no longer needed for this project, but Jim is going to use them in the pavilion, so he loaded them on the forks and took them up there.
Once he had all the tools and equipment put away, he did some grass cutting.
