We had our first pancake breakfast at our banquette this morning - it is so comfy!
Jim had lots of clean up from the tile grouting job to do in the shop this morning and then he headed down to the metal shop. He made this jig to hopefully straighten the edges of the drop box that were bent from the collision...
In the afternoon, we headed down to work on it. First, taking the siding off...
Using the pipe clamp to attach the jig to the side of the box - then he was able to turn the clamp and bend the metal...
It was bent even more in this direction, so he repeated the procedure...
Checking the straightness - his jig worked really well!
Installing the glued spar back in place...
Putting the door back on...
The door fits much better now!
Putting the siding back on for now...
After that, Jim and Mom did some metal detecting on the side of the driveway. They did find one cool steel circle as well as a few nails.
