This morning, Jim set up the laser level so that we could put a level mark on each post.
Now that he can work off the scaffolding, Jim measured up from each mark we made with the laser level to equal the height of the shortest post...
Jim made a quick cutting jig that he attached to the post. Then using his new Japanese knife, he started cutting the post...
Making a timber frame structure is very labor extensive, but this knife made things easier...
Success!
