Jim spent the morning in the wood shop, working on the millwork for the panels for the cabinet...
Fitting the panels in the side pieces...
Glueing the side pieces together...
Both side pieces glued and drying...
Working on pieces for the shelves - check out the pretty striped maple!
In the afternoon, Jim did a little work in the auto bay. He started putting up a little trim board - this material won't rot if it gets wet so it's perfect against the floor to protect the drywall.
The first piece of equipment to occupy the newly-expoxied floor!
Jim wants to build shelves in the pole barn to get things off the floor and more organized. He bought some wood at the lumberyard just for this purpose. Here he's predrilling holes...
Checking out the fit. He made it so that it fits tight against the back wall to take full advantage of space...
First shelf attached...
Attaching the second...
Already putting a few things up on the shelf!
He did a little lawn mowing at the end of the day and parked the mower inside on the new floor! The Bobcat will be parked here but it's much heavier so Jim will give the floor a few more days to cure.
High 82/Low 51 - beautiful! |
