Day Two for the epoxy project on the auto bay floor.  Jim first used the leaf blower to get away any stray leaves, bugs, dirt...

We had to re-tape the edges...

Assembling all of the necessary product and tools...

There are two gallons of base product; each has to be mixed well first and dumped into the 5 gallon pail...

The floor will be so smooth that it could be slippery, so there is a powder additive that is supposed to stay suspended in the urethane solution to provide a little texture to the final product.

Finally, the catalyst has to be mixed in...

This solution is thinner - we have 3 gallons of product to use as opposed to the 5 gallons yesterday for the same square footage.  Plus, you have more time to apply this step.  Jim started edging the sides; I took over once he started rolling.

Starting to roll the urethane on.  This was a little more difficult because the colors were the same so definitely harder to see where you had already painted.

Continuing on...

Starting on the other bay...

Moving over to the pole barn...

All done and - wow! - looks so fabulous!

Pole barn looks amazing too - the Bobcat will rightly feel very spoiled in its new home.

Peeling up the tape...

And pulling up the tape in the pole barn...

Now we just wait for it to dry!  By tomorrow we can walk on it; it has to cure another 7 days before we can start populating it with cars and tools.  But we are thrilled with the way it came out - whew!

It was a beautiful cool day so once we had lunch and Jim got things cleaned up, we headed out to do a little rock wall work.  Scooping up some rocks from our pile...

Putting the rocks on the wall...

Round two of three trips to the rock pile...

Working on the other side of the wall...

Look how good this rock wall looks as you drive up the driveway...

Jim did a little work in the wood shop before coming up to get ready to watch Mass.

A sad end to the turtle saga - the fox again dug up the nest and stole the last egg.

High 58/Low 40 - cool and beautiful!
