Jim did a lot of window frame work today.  This morning, he put polyurethane on all of the window frames that he has made.

He had ordered some special screws to fasten the jamb extension to the spacer frame - those came in yesterday so he was able to install our first one.  He first had to remove the temporary pieces he had made to hang up the blinds and then remove the blinds.  Just figuring out the trick to remove the blinds took a bit!

Next was installing the spacer frame...

Then the jamb extension...

All done, blind back up, even the snowmen back in place!  Obviously there will be moldings at a later time but this will really help keep the window more insulated and looks so nice!

Jim spent time today reading up and working on the drill press today as well.  I picked up a few conduit pieces he'll need for more wiring in that bay.

I had a haircut appointment this morning and then got a call that some fire school flyers were ready to be picked up in Saratoga, so I headed there.  I got home just in time to beat the weather - we are under another winter weather advisory for freezing rain and ice all evening - that's the worst!  Our driveway had totally melted in a lot of spots but this will definitely make it challenging.
High 31/Low 28 - ice in evening
