Jim spent a little time opening up the electric system of the new drill press - yikes - looks mighty complicated!  With these industrial machines, you have to wire things up yourself, including the plug, since the company doesn't know if you are using 120V or 240V.

The next step in the metal shop is to get lights in bay 3 operational.  Jim first had to make the conduit matrix...

Then he started doing some wiring - all 3 of these lights need to be wired so that they all come on together when the switch is turned on.

Speaking of switches, it's going to be a tad complicated to find a good spot for the switch box for this bank of lights.  Jim decided that by the man door would be the best spot but he's not sure if the conduit is completely full of wires already so that's going to require some investigation.

At the end of the day, Jim went into town to fill up his gas cans with diesel fuel.  We are under a winter storm warning tomorrow - we've seen everything from 6"-18".  Jim needs to make sure the Bobcat is full and we have enough fuel if we would need it for generators.  Once he got home, he hooked up the snowplow so it's ready to go as well.
