10.19.2020

Jim wanted to continue doing some plasterwork - so much of this area is J-channel and corner bead which require lots of plaster.  He especially wants to get this area done so he can get the handrail back up.

But the rest of the day was getting ready for concrete.  Jim called this morning and ordered a truck for Thursday which looks to be our one day with no real rain forecast.  Of course, that's when everyone wants to pour concrete so we couldn't get a time until 1:00.  But Kyle said that might work better for him anyway.  Fingers crossed that the weather is good then!

Jim first had to make some dirt so he went up to the end of the upper driveway and did some digging.  There were lots of rocks closer to the surface in this area so it was a little slow going.

Then he would bring down a bucketful and start shoveling it against the outside of the forms.  Jim said we certainly planned the wall location out well - the Bobcat just was able to squeeze in between the wall and the forms!

Looking great - he drove over it with the Bobcat to compact it some...

Back to do more digging...

Working on the other side...  This is a bit scary to watch him going downhill with the Bobcat but Jim is always in control!

Just about done...

He managed to get the rest finished before the rain started - the view from upstairs...

He had just a bit of time before he got on the treadmill, so busied himself in the shop a bit - here he's putting the back on the jointer.

High 55/Low 50 - light rain late PM
