Today is the second anniversary of our move into the carriage house! Jim and I were saying that it's hard to believe it's been 2 years but it's also hard to imagine us living anywhere else! We are so grateful to be here and love our home!
However, the day started off with the smoke detector in the bedroom making that incredible loud beep. I think these things are programmed to only beep in the wee hours. So Jim brought in the ladder and we put in a new battery. Ahh...silence is golden!
Jim and I divided and conquered morning errands. I headed out to do a pick up from Lowe's (Jim used up all his drywall tape!) and do some grocery errands. Jim headed to the concrete yard to pick up a new price sheet, reestablish his cash account in preparation for some concrete work this week!
Once he got home, it was back to doing some plastering...
Final touches in the dormer window area...
Kyle has graciously offered to help Jim do the concrete pour so Jim checked his availability this week and then called the concrete scheduler. So...Friday morning at 7:30 we'll be pouring concrete! Which means that there's some work to be done! Jim got out his laser level and started figuring out slopes and heights...
Putting the forms back together outside the stairwell...
The new lawn mower belt came in the mail today. It wasn't the easiest of jobs but Jim finally got the new belt on and tested it a bit on the yard.
