This morning, we headed out to go to the concrete supply company near Albany. It was a beautiful day for a drive - warm, but hey, it's summer! Jim was able to get a 5 gallon bucket of concrete curing/sealing agent as well as a roll of foam expansion joint. While we were close by, we also stopped at Sam's Club for a couple things.
Once we got home and had lunch, Jim got busy cutting and installing drywall pieces for the area next to the stairwell railing on the landing....
The bottom piece goes up...
Then attaching the corner bead...
All done - looks so much more finished!
Then we headed outside to do a little work on the rock wall...
The base of the wall is now complete!
That means that Jim has to do the rocks a bit differently now. He scooped some up from the rock pile and then dumped them next to the wall. Then we went through them and placed them on the wall...
Look how fabulous the wall looks now!
The last time Jim mowed, the spring came off so he worked on putting the belt back on...
And then setting the spring...
And off he goes! But this was very premature. The spring came off twice more - Jim found a slice in the belt so that ended the lawn mowing. He'll have to order one. Instead, he did a little trimming to end the day...
