I know I post way too many pictures of animals - especially turkeys! - but these guys were out for a stroll this morning and were so close to the house.  Of course, by the time I grabbed my phone they had started wandering down the driveway but still.  You can see how giant they are.

Jim worked on drywall in the auto bay this morning - this first piece was crazy with cut outs for conduit and two receptacles...

But Jim got it done and the other half of the sheet except for putting some screws in at the top.  Whew!  Looks great to see drywall coming around into this bay now.

Jim stopped what he was doing before lunch and came into the house when the postage meter rep came in to fix my postage meter.  (We all wore masks!)  Always nice to have Jim there because he helps me out with some repairs when needed.  The rep ended up just switching out the sealing unit but it still took awhile.

After lunch, Jim headed out to work on getting ready for concrete.  There was a stray cloud that dropped a couple quick raindrops right when Jim was using his laser level.  After a couple times of moving it under cover, he put a water softener salt bag on top to protect it.  Of course, then the sun stayed out!

Setting forms...

Look at all the excess gravel Jim scraped off - there's this pile in the forefront of the picture and then a pile beyond the pole barn.  Some of this will go back on the area but it's best to start with it low.

Scraping a little to get the forms level...

Using his laser eyeballs...

Making sure everything measures out perfectly...

Jim put gravel on this side of the forms to hold them in place when concrete is poured...

Lightly dropping gravel in low spots...

Jim doesn't need to go to the gym - this big steel bar probably weighs at least 75 pounds and I think Jim moved it a dozen times just in the time I was out watching!

The site is immaculately groomed!

On the other side, Jim brought up some dirt to hold the forms in place...

High 70/Low 47 - beautiful and almost fall-like!
