11.22.2019

Even though they won't ever show, Jim wasn't happy with just one coat of polyurethane on the sides of the cabinets.  So he lightly sanded them and put another coat on.  His attention to detail, even those that no one else will see, is so amazing and a big reason why the finished products always turn out so well!

After that, Jim installed the three window sills that he had made.  This one in the banquette area of the kitchen...

The casement window in the living room...

And the bathroom.  He has the side and top molding pieces ready as well but they require use of the saw to fit, which he didn't want to do with polyurethane drying in the wood shop.

Now that the upgraded engine for the snow blower is ordered, Jim wanted to get the chute back on.  He cleaned everything up and put dielectric grease on the electrical connections.  He thinks that may have caused the chute problems before - when he took things apart, there was water in the connections.

All back together.  As soon as the car dolleys for the Mini come in hopefully Monday (a long, weird story of an amazon issue), Jim will be able to get things rearranged in the auto bay.  We want to get all the cars inside this winter so there are no repeats of mice taking residence inside cars.
