11.13.2019

It was our coldest morning of the season - it was only 8 degrees when I woke up.  But the sun was out and strong so it wasn't too bad when I headed out for a haircut and to do some errands.

Jim had a day with some interruptions - he's working on trying to get a quote for a new motor for the snowblower and had to send the guy a list of questions.  He got his quote back from Bobcat but it is hundreds of dollars more for the same motor.  Both places will take awhile to get the motor in - it's not a stock item - so Jim will probably have to start the season with the snowblower as is and switch motors later on.

He also was conversing with the guy from Saint Martin who bought the box truck.  Apparently, he can't ship the truck from NYC to the Caribbean.  I guess it's just me but wouldn't you think that in all the time they were negotiating this deal he would have checked into that important fact?  Glad we have money in hand!  The guy is thinking of coming to NYC and driving it down to Miami so he wanted some advice from Jim.  Interesting...

Jim glued the solid maple piece onto the front of the cabinet pieces - he had to use lots of clamps to make sure it stayed in place and straight in all ways.

Jim's other big project was working on cleaning up the wheels he bought that we will use for my new snow tires.  They had glue residue from balancing weights inside and he had to work to get that off as well as clean up the outsides so that the tires will seal correctly.

Then he sanded all the corrosion off the hub area...
