Meanwhile, Jim was very busy - he started the day working on the Corian banquette top because the new glue finally came yesterday.
He got the second layer of pieces all placed...
And then he started glueing. This is such a time critical process, made especially difficult because there were so many individual pieces that Jim had to glue. But he got it all done and clamped so that it can dry.
Jim also worked on the side cabinet pieces - here he's cutting the toe board notch with the band saw...
His next step was to make the rabbet cut on the back end so that the very back panel can connect. He first used the table saw to make the initial cut...
One piece all done - then he had to repeat that process for the other 3 pieces.
Jim got the first coat of polyurethane on the three window sills...
And he continued cleaning up my other set of tires!
In addition to all that, Jim had more distractions today - we are trying to sell a printer on eBay and Jim spent time going back and forth with someone who put a bid in. It's a big, heavy piece of equipment so we had to spend time calling the UPS store for shipping times, costs and packing info. But hopefully this will work out and it will be another thing gone!
