11.5.2018

Jim had to work with the roofing company first thing this morning, before he even finished his breakfast.  He confirmed that they were delivering his order today and then had to get an invoice, go over it and make payment.

I had to head off to an early morning eye doctor appointment so I missed the delivery.  It was scheduled for late morning but this giant tractor trailer showed up not too long after Jim got off the phone with them.  Because of all the weight on the front of his truck, his tires spun out trying to get up the driveway and caused a few ruts on his way up.

The driver unloaded his mobile tow motor and started unloading the truck.

It's hard to believe that this is all of the roofing and siding for the pole barn, along with some trim pieces.  By this time, it was raining again.  Jim wanted to inventory the pieces as best he could, so he moved some into the back of the box truck.  But he got pretty wet in the process.

So he came in and did more inside work - including more work on my computer.  At this point, he's got things basically all finished - now it's up to me to figure it all out!

It rained on and off but the sun finally made an appearance mid-afternoon and Jim scurried out to do some work.  He got the rough opening for the man door all framed.  Unfortunately, it now gets dark earlier than Jim is ready to quit - you can see he worked well past sunset.
