In honor of National Wine Day, something to keep in mind...

Jim has this wall area all finished framing - tough with the valley rafter in there.  Now the top angle is up, the side and all the bottom pieces finished - ready for insulation!

The bulk of Jim's time today was working on the laundry room and kitchen circuits.  Jim completed each of the circuits to the boxes and pigtailed those boxes that could be.  The kitchen has lots of GFI circuits.

Jim is so great designing these circuits - I will never have to worry about tripping breakers because of too many things plugged in at once.  The only circuits left to do are for the dishwasher, microwave and garbage disposal as well as the lights.  Making great progress - the kitchen is so complicated!

Jim even got the light box installed for over the sink...

At the end of the day, Jim spent time working on the other valley rafter area.  He was able to get the nailer on the entire rafter span in one piece.  When Jim and I were talking kitchen lights, Jim knew that I wanted pendant lights above the banquette.  However, the location of the rafter would make centering pendant lights impossible.  Jim came up with a great solution - he's basically lowering the ceiling over the banquette a few inches to change where the ceiling meets the valley and allowing for more room to put the light box.  Of course, this requires more work for Jim.  He had to figure out all the dimensions and see how to make it work - he made wood extenders for the rafters and mitered the end to tuck in behind the nailer.  He'll have to do that will all the rafters but figuring out how to do it is always the hardest part!
