This morning, Jim worked some more on the new driveway grading and then used the dirt to continue grading around the septic system - and even went on top for the first time!
After lunch, we started tackling brick flashing again. We began in the front on all these little steps.
We got it all done to the point where we need to put more block.
Then we moved around to the side.
We got a lot done on the side too - we can only work where the block is dry enough for the membrane to stick.
Then it was around to the back.
As you can see from the picture, it's very shady back here so this is the wettest area. Jim wanted to get as much of the tops covered as possible to help keep water from seeping in.
It was getting late, so this was the last piece for the back.
This back corner was pretty wet. There is rain in the forecast for tomorrow so Jim really wanted to keep this corner as dry as possible. We taped some plastic up to hopefully allow the water to roll away from the block.
Another good day of progress while we anxiously await our concrete day on Wednesday. At this point, we are cautiously optimistic - the contractor confirmed that the pumper truck and concrete order is placed and so far the forecast looks great. Fingers crossed!!
