This is definitely a holiday I celebrate most winter days! Working from home definitely lends itself to staying in my flannel jammies way too long into the day (sorry, Mom!). Today, I can say I'm not lazy and am celebrating the holiday appropriately!
It was a good day to stay in your jammies - we got another 5-6" of new snow on top of our poor ice-laden trees. This was the view from the living room this morning...
Jim worked in the wood shop this morning - these cabinet panels all have at least one coat of polyurethane on them.
The maple he glued up from yesterday -
He's starting to cut it for drawer fronts...
Jim pulled out his cherry stock (brought to NY from OH!) to start the work for the drawers.
He glued some rough sawn wood together for the bigger drawer pieces...
After lunch, he had to attend to plowing the new snow. The temperatures warmed up in the afternoon and the trees already look better.
Jim took me to the post office in town to see how Corinth fared in the storm. We saw lots of downed trees and plenty of big trees so bent over with ice that their tops were touching the ground! Hopefully they'll have a little recovery time - the forecast is for 4-8" of snow on Thursday!
