2.12.2020

Kind of hard to tell from this picture, but both sides of the front of our property kind of look like a war zone.  Nice blue sky in between the trees!

I wasn't sure our little trees in the triangle would recover from being so completely bent over with ice and snow, but they rebounded nicely!  It's a good thing they had a bit of a chance to thaw out - we are under a winter weather advisory for another 3-6" of snow tonight into tomorrow.

I took the opportunity of the break in between storms to go into Saratoga and get some errands done.  Meanwhile, Jim was very busy in the shop.  He got the edges of the cabinets taped off and primed...

Then continued cutting and sizing the drawer pieces...

Again showing me how big the drawers will be - plus you can see all the other drawer pieces are now cut to size.  We decided to keep the bottom drawer of this cabinet the same 10" size as the other cabinets but made the other 3 drawers the same size so that I can use all 3 of the drawers for cans and other pantry items.  It's going to be wonderful!

Putting the gray paint on the cabinet fronts...

Jim spent time cleaning up all his tools and work area from putting the snowblower back together.  Then he took it out for a trial run.  There was good and bad news - the good news is that the chute works better than it ever did!  However, despite the Bobcat people telling Jim that all he needed to do to convert it to high flow was to put the new engine in, it still didn't go into high flow.  However, Jim did some investigating and there appears to be one difference in the schematics between the high flow and regular flow - a tube redirecting excess hydraulic fluid back into the Bobcat differently.  So he's going to do more investigating on the Bobcat parts website he found.
