10.31.2019

Happy Halloween!  I hope it's warm and dry where your trick-or-treaters are but I think the overall forecast was for cold and/or rainy.  We have the rainy part of that equation but it was pretty warm today - the temperatures drop tomorrow and bring high wind warnings.  Good thing our generator is alive!

Jim was able to put a small relief cut on the back of the small pieces of molding after they were cut...

Trying it out for size - looks great!

Which meant that Jim was able to start priming...

All new molding pieces primed...

Then...drumroll...Jim started working on the Corian for the banquette table - I'm so excited about this!  He put on a new blade and different inset for his table saw that he uses when he cuts laminates or plastics.  It provides a tight fit around the blade and minimizes chipping.  It worked perfectly on the Corian!

Starting to cut!  This is scary since these pieces are so expensive but Jim makes sure he has a good plan in advance and then has no fear.

Cutting...

All done!

The two pieces for the top clamped together.  He wanted to do a little refresher reading before starting the gluing process.  Sure looks pretty!

To finish up the day, Jim wanted to continue filling in the cracks in the floor of the auto bay/metal shop.  This way, it will keep dirt and small creatures from getting in/out.  Because of the weather, Jim is postponing doing the epoxy until spring but he did order a gallon of the etching material to see how it works with the insulated concrete forms.

High 65/Low 42 - rainy in afternoon
