Jim spent more time on the phone today with the company that makes the floor epoxy.  There are so many decision points for this product!  He had questions today about the various ways you can make the floor less slippery after it is installed.  We'll finalize color decision tonight and he'll get it ordered. Meanwhile, he wasn't happy with some of the joints where the caulk had expanded a bit higher than the floor surface.  So he took this tool with a razor blade in it (he got it from his dad and had never used it before today!) to basically shave off the excess.

With the new plywood he picked up last night, he made the door panel for the attic access door in the master bedroom.  He did all the millwork and got it primed...

Then he did started some form work for the concrete in front of the carriage house...

Wow - with the plywood strips he cut, he was able to bend them to get a nice curve!

He took off a bit early and headed to Home Depot in the box truck to pick up a couple pieces of melamine that he wants to use to make some cabinets in the wood shop.  However, he had some issues because they are so slippery even when he had them tied down.  He ended up putting a piece of old fan belt between them to provide some traction so they wouldn't slip out of the straps!

This was a picture perfect fall day - the colors of the leaves are just fabulous this year.  The weather forecast is calling for a ‘bombogenesis’ storm to hit New England tomorrow with strong winds and heavy rain.  We aren't in line for that but we are supposed to get wind and rain.  I'm just hoping it won't blow all the leaves away!
