The Bombogenesis came through the area overnight and this morning, with lots of rain and wind. Definitely a rain boot kind of day - especially since I had to run errands and had both a doctor and dentist appointment today. But it was also a day for being grateful - we didn't get any damaging winds or rain. Plus we are so glad that we are up on top of this big hill and have no worries about water coming in the house, our scary trees near the house are gone now, we have such wonderful soil that drains all the excess water away quickly, and we are very close to having our backup generator to be even more self sufficient if necessary. We are also grateful to friends and family who checked in to make sure we were okay after seeing scary weather reports on the news!
It was an inside work day, so Jim was able to make all the rabbet cuts on the access door pieces and then glue it together...
Then he worked on insulating the dormer area...
Sides and around the window all stuffed!
Then he put a plastic vapor barrier on top of the insulation...
Mid-afternoon, he had to head out for some errands.
