Once he got back to Angel, he worked on crumbing out the remaining holes. Then we started mixing our first batch of concrete.
Dumping it in the mortar box...
Filling up the buckets...
And filling up the holes!
Getting all our aggregate ready for the next batch...
I sifted the sand and Jim carried it over...
Batch 2 ready to go...
Filling up the last hole - our foundation work is done for the pole barn!
After lunch, Jim had to put on his project management hat. He got in touch with his Curtis Lumber rep, negotiated the price on a few items and finalized everything. We are set for delivery on Wednesday!
Then he finally heard back from the Bobcat rep about the snowblower and he sent Jim the invoice. However, Jim questioned having to pay sales tax in Iowa and the rep had to check with his accountant. Of course, that took all day but Jim finally got an answer this evening that we don't have to pay it. So Jim will finalize all that tomorrow but he's already put the shipping job out for quotes!
In the afternoon, Jim did some cleaning up of all the tools and the pole barn site. Then he power sprayed the front of the box truck. He wants to see if he can sell it - we certainly have gotten good use out of it but we are to the point where we don't really need it.
Jim wanted to get a coat of paint on the mailbox post before winter so he wire brushed it and then started painting...
Looks beautiful!
