It was a rainy day so Jim spent some time this morning finishing up his plans for the pole barn.  Hopefully he'll get them into the building department in the next day or so and we'll be good to go.  He also finished the materials list so that he can get a couple quotes on the building supplies.

It was a cool day - never got out of the 50s - so Jim worked on doing a bit more tweaking with the furnace system.  He turned it on to get a little heat in the apartment.  He wants to work out any bugs when we don't really need the heat rather than wait until we really do!

He also spent time doing some organizing.  Between all the different jobs he's been doing lately, he had all different kinds of tools spread around.  Jim always works best in a neat environment so it was time to do a little cleanup.

He also started doing the steel framework for the corner of the stairwell that houses the vents and gas line into the house.  He wants to have access panels just in case he ever needs to work on anything here.

Jim also spent time on the phone today with the company that is selling the snow blower.  They agreed on a price and the snow blower is ours!  The company has to send over paperwork, we'll do the payment, and then Jim will have to work on getting shipping quotes.  But this is perfect timing and we are very excited - this is a 2017 model and looks basically unused.

We knocked off a bit early and headed into Lowe's.  Jim wanted to drop off his materials list for a quote and we had some coupons to use that were expiring that we wanted to take advantage of.  We even bought our first box of subway tile for the kitchen!  Definitely not ready for that but it was a good time to buy it.
