Once we got back, Jim went back to work on his shelf (Shelf B we are calling it!). He's going to use the bottom shelf area to store his excess steel so for the smaller steel pieces he made a middle shelf. Plus he got the unit all totally square and put braces on the back.
Jim wanted to do the rest of the shelf work when it was in place to clear up room in the shop to bring the Bobcat back in. That required doing some rearranging - we had a small shelf unit that I was using to store my fire school supplies. Jim unloaded that and moved the shelves out of the way. Things will find a new home once we get these shelves stocked. In order to do some placement working around everything, Jim had to crawl inside the shelves to get to the other side!
After cleanup from that job, it was back to moving dirt.
Building up the area behind the house farther and farther!
Doing some hand shoveling around the edges by the house...
Look at all the dirt Jim has moved from this enormous pile!
Working on this steep slope, close to the house, watching out for drain pipes and trees was very precarious.
But things are really taking shape and look great!
Jim took another scoop of dirt down to the pole barn area before putting the Bobcat away and then spending time cutting grass.
High 75/Low 59 - nice! |
