Jim went out and worked on plumbing some this morning - he glued all of the washer pipes together.
When he brought the washer pipe upstairs, he had to make some blocking in which he had to cut out the shape of the pipe.
It was such a gorgeous day that we decided to work outside after lunch. This is our "before" pile of miscellaneous wood and steel. We want to use this as a turn-around so today was a good day to start cleaning it up.
Sure love the new Bobcat! We loaded up this giant pallet will all of the planks and miscellaneous wood.
Then Jim drove it up to the top of the hill where we have other stored materials.
Next was all the leftover steel pieces that we used for shoring and forms.
Jim put it on top of our stack of plywood...
Moving the pumpkin to a pallet...
Now that most of the material is gone, Jim did a little flattening out of the area.
Quite a different "after" picture!
Next, Jim wanted to start getting rid of some dirt piles by filling in the area by the side doors. We took down the ramp that has been a fixture for so long!
Then Jim got busy moving dirt around!
I had to just watch for any big rocks near the building...
This pile was from our original foundation digging - so it's been there for quite awhile!
This grading is necessary not only for around the carriage house, but also to make the grade work for the drywall boom truck. Then the next phase will be to bring water to the building.
