Happy Earth Day! We feel grateful every day to be the stewards of our gorgeous property! The pine trees are starting to wake up from winter and Jim noted how strong the pine smell was when he got out of the car to unlock the gate.
Jim headed to the plumbing supply company first thing this morning and then got busy installing those new parts!
This is the new drain and trap for the shower...
...as well as the washer! Jim has to make a loop vent for the washer so that's still to come.
Look out perfectly centered the drain pipe came up to the shower hole!
The drain pipe for the washer...
Getting ready to glue...
Gluing the pipe...
I went upstairs as we were getting ready to transition to insulation - and was scared to death to find a bird inside! Jim was able to open the other window and scoot him out. He must have come in through the eaves of the stairwell.
First, Jim cut the baffles to finish up the roof in the living room...
Installing the baffles...
Cutting the batt for the small area near the ceiling...
Finishing the last of this channel...
Jim skipped the next channel while he thought about how he wanted to do it - you can see that there is a very small space between these two pieces of steel...
Once he finished that entire channel, he turned back to figuring out this little space. He was able to put a small piece of baffle and then still get his insulation tucked in at the top of the wall.
Then he filleted a piece of insulation like he does with the areas around the wiring - only this time lengthwise to fit around the steel.
Putting it up into place...
Last piece of the day - there are just two more channels to do and the living room ceiling will be done!
